The restaurant’s location along picturesque waterways adds to its charm, making it a favored spot for a relaxed dining experience. While the setting is modest and low-key, the quality of food—especially the seafood specialties—and reasonable prices relative to Venice standards consistently receive positive remarks. Overall, it’s regarded as a hidden gem that offers genuine local flavors and a welcoming ambiance.
Venice can be a hard place to find great food, as there are a lot of tourist traps. I highly recommend this location. It is off the beaten path and had good service. I loved being able to sit outside overlooking the waterways and bridges. The food was good and not too expensive (especially for Venice)
So I this fish specialty restaurant is a family run place. The place is indiscreet and not flashy (menu is written on paper) but don’t let that fool you. “We don’t have olive oil with bread” type of local. Getting there is a nice little trek as well. Don’t let the brashness of the staff put you off. This was recommended by a local. Fab fab fab food!
Absolute gem! We found this place by chance wondering off the “main path” (not far though). Probably one of the loveliest, cosiest and relaxed spots we hung out at. We had 1 2 3 4 selects and sat here for about two hours. Super friendly staff. 4x select = 20€. I can only guess about the food as we did not order any this time but it looks very promising and we will try next time.
This little restaurant is tucked away from the crowds on a quiet back street. Our server was wonderful - spending time to go through the dishes with us and make recommendations based on our tastes. We has scallops, tagliatelle, and swordfish steak - all delicious. Their specialty lies in their seafood, which was some of the best we tried in Italy. Paired with a liter of house wine for €12, and glasses of organic prosecco for €3/each, and this was an amazing way to spend an evening away from the insanity along the grand canal.
Difficult not to give 5 stars to this place: 1) the food was amazing, with fresh fish at the very top of the list but also nice pasta and desert (attached many pics of what we had) 2) the waiter Luca was so nice and professional that we thought for the whole time that he was the owner. Really remarkable. Flavia also made our time there enjoyable: thanks so much to both! 3) the place is what you expect from a nice typical restaurar in Venice: cosy atmosphere, outdoors tables with a few on a small canal and a scenic “ponte storto” (it’s a small winding bridge) 4) the bill is reasonable for Venetian standards. I will come back today already: you got me 100% on board.
